How does it work?

How does a x-ray work?
The way an x- ray works is by using electromagnetic rays that penetrate the skin so the bones and tumors and muscles appear. This happens because when the x-rays hit the film they let out a light and since the muscles and bones and tumors all absorb a certain amount of light they all have different shadows allowing you to tell the different between them.

How does the x-ray machine work?

The way a x-ray machine works is by using a electrode pair which is a cathode and an anode what happens with this is that it creates an electron beam that sits in a glass vacuum. Then the cathode is a heated filament the machine then passes current through it so it can create electrons with the positive charged disc of anode the voltage between the cathode and the anode are a huge difference which results in a x-ray.

In this diagram I see the how the machine would work and how the electrons travel and become an x-ray.
